What if you played a key role in modernizing the backend landscape of BAM and building scalable, future-proof solutions that directly support our construction and service operations? As a Back-End Developer, you’ll work on transforming legacy systems into modern architecture and make a real impact on how our digital platforms perform.

Make it possible

As a Back-End Developer, you are responsible for designing, building, and improving backend services within our platform landscape. You work closely with other developers and stakeholders to ensure stability, scalability, and continuous improvement.

  • You actively contribute to improving performance, maintainability, and scalability of systems.

Your team

b.Home is one of the newest business units within BAM. We digitalize and automate workflows of BAM’s construction and maintenance departments, enabling them to work more efficiently.

For residential construction, the b.Home platform supports renovation, pre-delivery inspections, final delivery, service days, and the handover to Service & Maintenance. For the Service & Maintenance departments, the b.Home platform provides a digital workflow that efficiently coordinates the handling of residents’ service requests.

You will join an international development team of approximately 12 colleagues, working from our Amsterdam office. Within the team, there is a strong focus on collaboration and knowledge sharing.

We work in a hybrid setup: you are expected in the office on Mondays and Wednesdays, and work from home on the other days. Flexibility is expected when needed, for example during key project phases.

What we offer

At BAM, we believe in investing in our people and creating a positive and inclusive work environment. In this dynamic role, you’ll be part of a sector that is constantly evolving — and you will play an important role in that transformation.

Furthermore, we offer you:

  • A salary between €5,500 and €7,000, depending on your knowledge and experience, plus 8% holiday allowance;
  • Excellent secondary benefits according to the Bouw & Infra CLA, including 43 vacation days per year (based on full-time employment), with the option to partially cash out;
  • Full travel expense reimbursement, plus a laptop and iPhone;
  • The opportunity to continuously develop yourself via BAM Learning and other training programs;
  • Additional benefits such as ~40% discount on sports memberships and discounts on insurances, HP products, and Microsoft Office.
