Quality Manager

BAM FM is recruiting a Quality Manager to ensure BAM FM delivers high-quality, compliant services by managing and improving our ISO 9001-certified Quality Management System. This role can be based out of any of our UK office locations. Working 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday.
The Quality Manager position at BAM FM is a pivotal role dedicated to ensuring that our facilities management services consistently meet legal, regulatory, and customer requirements. This role is central to maintaining and enhancing the BAM FM Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001 standards, driving a culture of quality across the organisation, and supporting strategic objectives.

As Quality Manager, you will lead initiatives that safeguard our ISO certifications, oversee internal audits, and manage continuous improvement projects. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership teams, accreditation bodies, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that quality standards are embedded throughout our operations. Your responsibilities will include monitoring performance against quality objectives, producing insightful reports, and facilitating change to enhance customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a process-driven mindset, and the ability to influence and motivate teams. You will bring expertise in ISO 9001 auditing, integrated facilities management, and data analysis, alongside proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools and business intelligence reporting. Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with BAM FMs SLT drive a quality culture and set objectives.
• Ensure the FM QMS is aligned to the FM Strategy.
• Chair the QMS Management Reviews and update BAM FMs SLT on the performance of the FM QMS.
• Manage the Trainee Quality Advisor, in particular to manage document control for the FM BMS.
• Build relationships with the BAM FM SLT, BAM FM ELT and the UK&I Quality Team.
• Maintain a team ethos and collaborative mindset between FM Quality and the FM Environment & FM H&S teams.
• Work with the FM Systems Team and the UK&I DPS contact for FM on the development of systems in relation to the improvements required for the FM BMS in particular the FM QMS requirements
• Produce FM QMS monthly reports, utilising existing BI reports and creating new ones where required with the assistance of the FM Systems Team.
• Communicate updates to the FM QMS using Pulse Articles, Newsletter Articles, Presenting at Townhalls and attendance at Operational and Non Operational FM Team calls.
• Be point of contact for the Accreditation Body for the FM BMS certifications (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001)
• Manage a 3 year rolling audit programme for FM QMS.
• Responsible for maintaining Accreditations for SafeContractor and ConstructionLine Gold.
• Chair working groups as required with SMEs where improvement areas have been identified.
• Conduct internal audits in line with ISO 19011.
• Ensure the ISO 9001 standard is met in relation to the internal audit plan and ensuring the full FM QMS is audited.
• Work with the FM Strategy Manager to set standards to drive customer satisfaction survey results.
• Provide ongoing data analysis on FM QMS data from various sources to improve the performance of the QMS.
• Where necessary provide training or awareness sessions to FM Management in relation to the FM QMS.
• Work with the UK&I Quality team to align the FM QMS with the BAM UBMS and adhere to UK&I requirements.
• Maintain the FM BMS SharePoint.

What do you bring to the role?
You'll need to have:
• Lead Auditor – ISO 9001 (Current version and willingness to complete conversion courses).
• Knowledge of upcoming changes to ISO 9001.
• Comprehensive experience in an Integrated Facilities Management business.
• Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite of Office applications, in particular SharePoint Libraries.
• Working knowledge of BI Reports.
• Experience of using Microsoft Visio, Planner, PowerPoint, Stream, Teams.
• Previous experience of Construction-Line Gold/Safe-Contractor.
• Experience of working with Accreditation Bodies in relation to ISO 9001.
• Experience of maintaining a certified management system to ISO 9001 with a UKAS certified Accreditation Body.
• Demonstratable process driven approach to improvement projects.
• Experience of conducting quality investigations and root cause analysis.

Desirable:
• A good understanding of CAFM systems, preferably trained in MRI Evolution (Formerly Concept).
• Internal auditor – ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 and willingness to complete conversion courses.
• NEBOSH Certificate.
• Applicable Environmental Qualifications.
