HR Tech Product Owner

What if you could shape the future of HR technology at BAM? As an HR Tech Product Owner, you act as the connecting link between HR, IT and the business. You translate HR challenges into smart digital solutions and explore how emerging technologies, including AI, can contribute to more efficient and future-proof HR processes. In doing so, you directly contribute to the digital transformation of HR within one of the largest construction and infrastructure companies in the Netherlands.

Make it happen

As an HR Tech Product Owner, you are responsible for multiple HR technology solutions across BAM. Rather than owning a single product, you work across several HR domains and initiatives simultaneously. You understand stakeholder needs, develop a clear product vision and ensure the right solutions are delivered.

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across HR, IT and the business to understand their needs, priorities and challenges;
  • Translate business needs into a clear product vision, roadmap and improvement initiatives;
  • Explore how AI and other emerging technologies can contribute to more efficient HR processes;
  • Manage, prioritize and optimize the product backlog based on value, impact, cost and timing;
  • Work closely with developers, Scrum Masters and fellow Product Owners within an Agile environment;
  • Balance competing interests, identify risks and dependencies, and create support for change across the organization;
  • Define user stories and acceptance criteria to enable development teams to deliver effectively;
  • Facilitate stakeholder reviews and ensure delivered functionality is validated and meets expectations;
  • Monitor developments in HR Technology and translate market trends into improvement opportunities for BAM;
  • Track progress and keep stakeholders informed about results, opportunities and challenges.

Your team

You will join BAM’s HR Technology team. Together with two colleagues, you will form the HR Tech Triangle. In this role, you will work closely with various business divisions, more than fifteen HR Centres of Expertise and multiple IT teams.

Within this dynamic environment, you will work according to PI Planning principles and continuously align with other triangles across the organization. You will also collaborate closely with the ITCCHR team, which is responsible for configurations and technical changes within the HR systems.

Success in this role depends heavily on your ability to connect people, processes and technology. You can effortlessly switch between strategic conversations with stakeholders and operational discussions with development teams.

Your primary work location is Bunnik. Tuesday and Thursday are the team’s designated office days.

What we offer

At BAM, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the future of HR. You will work in an innovative environment where technology, data and AI are becoming increasingly important and where your ideas are transformed into tangible solutions.

In addition, we offer:

  • A salary in between €6.500 - €8.100 aligned with your knowledge and experience;
  • Attractive secondary benefits in accordance with the Construction & Infrastructure Collective Labour Agreement;
  • A laptop, iPhone and an appropriate mobility package;
  • Extensive development opportunities through BAM Learning and external training programmes;
  • A challenging role in which you collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and contribute directly to BAM’s HR strategy.

What you bring

You are an entrepreneurial Product Owner who enjoys connecting people, processes and technology. You are analytically strong, comfortable making decisions and skilled at bringing together different interests to achieve results.

  • Experience as a Product Owner within an Agile environment;
  • Experience with HR technology, digital transformation and innovative solutions such as AI;
  • Experience with HR systems such as SAP SuccessFactors, Avature or similar platforms;
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence at different levels within an organization;
