We are recruiting a Mechanical Technician to join our team in Galway.

Making Possible
- Carry out daily mechanical maintenance.
- Work with the onsite team to carry out reactive and planned works.
- Work in accordance with the company health and safety culture and regulations.
- Coordinate and plan work in collaboration with the onsite building and estates team.
- Plan and implement mechanical improvements with the onsite team.
- Installation and/or maintenance of heating systems, drainage, and water supplies. Fitting domestic appliances such as washing machines, cookers, and showers. Service boilers and radiators. Locate faults in the systems & equipment of
customers and repair the issue. - Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures.
- Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals.
- Follow building plans and blueprints.
- Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies.
- Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems.
- Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed, and materials used.
What do you bring to the role?
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade.
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings.
- Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper.
- Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to complete projects unsupervised and unassisted.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Minimum 5 years on the job residential plumbing experience.
- Experience with plex pipe and crimp fittings.
- Excellent communication skills.
- The ability to read drawings and apply M&E plans.
- DGS qualification a bonus.
