Making Possible

  • Manage the Proposals team, including Graphics and Knowledge Management, to support work winning and personal development, safeguarding health and wellbeing.
  • Deliver work on demanding bids to achieve the required deadlines. 
  • Ensure personal accountability and positive collaborative behaviours across the team. 
  • Develop best practice guidelines in line with APMP thinking. 
  • Develop team skills in planning and facilitating outcome focused meetings and workshops. 
  • Develop Graphics capability to stay up-to-date and ahead of trends. 
  • Develop Knowledge Management resource to meet changing tender and prequalification demands Advise bid teams on external bid support.  
  • Set the standards for managing and developing proposals. 
  • Safeguard the highest standards of written responses by appropriate challenge and review. Advise on the review team and contribute as a reviewer. 
  • Review customer feedback, advise the business and develop improvement plans. 
  • Work collaboratively with the Preconstruction Leads and other Heads of Department to improve work winning. 
  • Identify and develop opportunities to improve proposals processes and capability.
  • Promote the importance of Knowledge Management and Graphics to work winning Keep up to date with innovations across the company. 
  • Review quality proposals and provide constructive feedback to bid teams. 
  • Carry out and other additional duties from time to time as required. 

What do you bring to the role?

  • Proven ability in developing and delivering winning proposals.
  • Experienced and operating at a level equivalent to APMP Professional level.
  • Experience on major, challenging and complex bids, including JV bids and across multiple sectors Proven capability to develop processes and guidance. 
  • Demonstrable evidence of collaborative working including influencing and negotiation.
  • Proven ability to think strategically, to challenge and innovate. 
  • Demonstrable ability to lead, motivate and support people to deliver their best in the work winning environment. 
  • Resource management: planning, recruitment, training and personal development. 
  • High standard of spoken and written English and ability to present information clearly and concisely. 

The following are desirable requirements: 

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent. 
  • Experience/knowledge of the construction industry.
