We are recruiting a Senior Planner to join our civil department in Kill, Co. Kildare. The planner will develop detailed programmes for tenders & assist in our programming function for major infrastructure projects across Ireland.

Making Possible
- Planning using MS Project & Primavera Software or Asta Powerproject.
- Develop programme strategies for construction and tenders
- Construct and maintain detailed programmes (in MS Project, P6 & 4D) from first principles including resource and cost loading
- Assimilate and interpret information from tender documentation
- Co-ordinate with estimators and the project teams on all programme aspects
- Prepare mass haul calculations and diagrams
- Compile concise narratives, phasing, reports and supporting documents for input into quality submissions for tenders and projects
- Manage short term planning with the project teams
- Take ownership of the programme to drive project delivery
- Contribute, support and communicate programme information, risk and commercial issues to operational teams in a variety of format
- Produce and chair collaborative planning workshops with clients, operational teams and subcontractors
- Update and monitor project progress, compile reports against project and contract requirements
- Introduce and analyse change in programmes and support the commercial teams
- Evaluate supply chain and subcontract programmes
- Peer review programmes
- Comply with business processes and systems
- Maintain awareness of latest construction techniques
What do you bring to the role?
• A third level degree in civil engineering or construction
• Circa 10 years' experience in road, earthworks, drainage, structures and marine works
• Previous experience as Civil Planner and a sound knowledge of construction techniques, with a good commercial and contractual acumen
• Comfortable in client facing situations
• A demonstrable ability to develop, own and drive programmes, along with managing sub-contractor programmes
• A clear ability for logical thinking and working in an ordered fashion
• Experience and understanding of planning techniques
• The ability to communicate effectively
• Competent in the use of planning software, (preferably P6) and 4D software - training will be available
• The ability to work to defined, often challenging, timescales
• Contribute to a bid-winning strategy for tenders
