Quantity Surveyor (Secondment)

We’re offering an exciting secondment opportunity for 2 to 5 years for two internal BAM UK &I candidates.

We are looking for Quantity Surveyors that would like to move over to our fantastic Femernbelt project in Denmark!  

This is a chance to work the world’s longest combined road and rail tunnel, joining Denmark and Germany.  

You’ll bring strong commercial awareness and a collaborative approach, helping to ensure our project is delivered efficiently, on time, and to budget.

Your mission

We’re looking for two detail-driven and commercially focused Quantity Surveyors to join our team. You will provide accurate cost estimation, budget control, and contract management support across a range of construction projects.

In this role you will:
•    Prepare and manage quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and valuations
•    Delay Analysis claims
•    Oversee and support the submission of claims and variation orders
•    Liaise with clients to demonstrate that payment requirements are met
•    Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders such as Cost Controllers, Finance, and Risk Managers
•    Monitor and assess contractual correspondence regarding changes to cost and time
•    Gather and manage documentation required for financial submissions and approvals

Who are we looking for?

Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
•    3–5 years of experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within the construction industry
•    In-depth understanding of construction contracts, including change control and dispute resolution
•    Excellent analytical and communication skills
•    Strong stakeholder management experience with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams
