Commercial Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Assistant to join our team, supporting the project and commercial functions on the Eastern Green Link 2 (EGL2) project, based at the Wrenhall site. This role may require occasional travel to other offices and project sites, with the option for flexible working in line with our company policy.

Your mission
- Assist with the monthly cost and value reconciliation supplying requested information such as material and plant accruals
- Input into Assessed Cost Database, SAP, MyTime, Rental Results or similar cost collation tool
Process Subcontractor payments - Bought ledger invoice clearance to agreed payment terms, raising queries with suppliers where necessary
- Produce cost monitoring reports
- Collate allocation sheets and records
- Maintain document filing system
- Collate commercial data into regular reports
- Analyse collated data and exception reports
- Assist in general with commercial functions
- Attend meetings and training sessions
- Maintain personal diary
- Utilise computer software packages for word processing, spread-sheets, graphics and presentations
- Carry out other relevant duties as required from time to time
- Ensure compliance and adherence with project and company commercial procedures to follow an agreed process for cost control
Who are we looking for?
- English and Mathematics GCSEs or equivalent
- Previous industry and role experience would be an advantage
- To be diligent and motivated
- Demonstrate a desire to learn and progress
- Show interest to increase your knowledge of the construction industry
- Good communication skills
- Good IT skills
