Environmental Advisor
Building a sustainable tomorrow
We are seeking an Environmental Advisor to join us on a Major Project at Devonport dockyard in Plymouth, Devon where we are refurbishing the Royal Navy dockyard. As an Environmental Advisor, you will be assisting the Environmental team on the project.

Your mission
As an Environmental Advisor, you will be responsible for the following:

Ensure environmental issues are identified and managed effectively by the project team.

Contribute to environmental inspection and auditing schedule, identify environmental issues, and support the project team in remedial measures.

Support the maintenance of the JV Environmental Management System.

Implement the Environmental Management System and support the project team in delivery.

Carry out deep dive audits into environmental processes and legislation.

Manage environmental incident reporting and investigation and support the project team in remedial measures.

Develop and support the delivery of Environmental and Sustainability TBT and training.

Support the development of RAMS.
-
Advise and guide project team in the implementation and maintenance of the EMS.

Develop and provide project environmental training.
-
Assist in incident investigations and reporting.

Encourage near miss reporting and identify trends.

Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and contractual requirements onsite.

Review method statements.
Who are we looking for?
-
Academically qualified – Civil Engineering/Construction/Environmental related (HNC, BSc, MSc, BEng, MEng)
-
Experience of similar role, preferred in relevant sector (ie Nuclear and Defence)

Experience of Construction and large multidisciplinary projects preferred.

CSCS – White AQP/PQP
