Ground Investigation Section Engineer

Building a sustainable tomorrow

Join BAM's Ground Engineering team and help deliver some of Scotland's most significant infrastructure, energy and development projects.

Our engineers lead the delivery of safe, profitable and technically excellent ground investigations across Scotland, providing the critical ground data that enables projects to be designed and constructed with confidence. From renewable energy developments and electricity transmission infrastructure to transportation, water and major civil engineering projects, no two projects are the same.

Based in Scotland, you'll be part of a close-knit and highly experienced team, combining local knowledge with the resources, technical expertise, and opportunities available across BAM.

Ground investigation is a hands-on role, with projects across Scotland, including the Highlands, Islands, and other remote locations. The role offers excellent variety and requires flexibility, including a willingness to work away from home when needed. In return, we provide a competitive reward package that reflects the nature of the work and the contribution of our people.

Your team

Whether your ambition is technical excellence, project management or operational leadership, we'll support your development through structured career pathways, professional registration support, RoGEP development, mentoring and ongoing technical and leadership training.
