BAM UK & Ireland division is recruiting an Integrated Planning and Analysis Director. The IP&A Director is responsible developing and supporting the realisation of the Divisions  financial and strategic plan for the medium to long term, ensuring that the financial plan supports and correlates with the non-financial plan. 

They will need to work closely with other Finance Directors to ensure that the Segment plans are challenging but achievable to enable Divisional success.

This position forms part of the UK&I Finance Leadership team reporting to the Executive Finance Director of the UK&I and will need to work closely with Group Finance in NL as well as the other Finance Directors within the UK.

Responsible for the timely and efficient production of robust and best in class corporate forecasting and internal reporting for the UK&I Division, working with and leading a team of IP&A controllers that supply financial information, reports, and analysis in accordance with the division’s requirements as well as that of Group. 

Making Possible

Responsible for providing all relevant stakeholders with Integrated financial reports on the respective segment's financial and non-financial situation, as well as providing advice on financial risks and opportunities to support successful decision-making and delivery of the longer-term plan.

The role oversees the key elements of Integrated financial planning, closing and reporting processes at divisional level. The IP&A Director is responsible for leading and driving the following:
•    Act as an Independent sparring Partner for all Segment FDs to bring constructive challenge to test assumptions and to ensure robust decisions are made in the best interests of the division and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost- effectiveness.
•    Engage with relevant Industry bodies to understand future market Influences, competitors’ behaviours and to fully understand Industry dynamics and drivers. 
•    Leads and manages the strategic medium plan, budget, and quarterly forecast process for the UK&I division including key assumptions, timelines and methodology inline with Group Requirements and the corporate timetable ensuring a quality integrated plan. 
•    Will need to work closely with their equivalent in NL and being a key contact for the Group Finance team both as a customer and as a consumer.
•    Leads on the Bam Financial Model (BFM) requirements for the Division, including assumptions, methodology and developing the appropriate models to deliver against the requirements of the division and group and enable close monitoring of this throughout the year.
•    Leads the Internal Integrated Reporting process to ensure all financial reports are produced to time and quality in accordance with latest accounting standards and to meet both divisional and group reporting requirements based on Corporate Centre framework to help leaders better understand financial trends and financial opportunities.
•    Drives the development and implementation of processes and tools that allow for increased, efficient analytical capabilities and that allow leaders to understand key financial issues in a timely and effective manner integrated with non-financial data.
•    Ensuring business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, processes, and initiatives; consulting with business partner and/or other key stakeholders.

Key activities
•    Provides initiative-taking financial insight through quarterly, annual and ad-hoc reports to visualise results, trends, and financial forecasts in accordance with what both the Division need and to meet Group Requirements.
•    Analyse financial data to determine how potential issues will impact the BAM UK & Ireland financial statements in terms of operating income, free cash flow and other (non)-financial parameters both in-year and longer term.
•    Develop resolution plans consulting with the FDs through guidance and deliverable actions where necessary to ensure the division remains on track to deliver to plan.
•    Lead and support the delivery of process simplification and standardisation to create best-in-class futuristic IP&A Insight.
•    Ensure an effective and efficient End to End Integrated Planning Process for the Division inline with Group Requirements and that of the Divisional Executive team. 
•    Leads by example – Identifying and growing best practice within the IP&A team  and strengthens system and process controls. 
•    Develop long term plans for BAM UK & Ireland Division, including developing the appropriate models and working with senior leadership to reflect business trends in the financial plans.

Your team

This position will be based at our city point Office – London but will be expected to travel to other UK&I and NL BAM offices.

•    Degree qualified in Finance, Accounting, or alternative related discipline. 
•    Solid understanding of the Integrated financial planning and analysis process, systems, and tools 
•    Understands macroeconomics and econometric information, metrics, indices, and driver-based models.
•    Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication at all levels of management and the ability to think Global, act local.
•    Previous experience of leading high-performing teams, delivering through others, leading change, and the ability to balance technical accounting knowledge with business pragmatism, reporting and controls.
•    Analytical and solution-oriented mind-set, strong competency in translating and linking strategic goals to operational actions and KPI’s.
