Facilities Concierge

BAM UK & Ireland are recruiting a Facilities Concierge to join our FM Segment of the business and to be based out of our offices in Bower House in Oldham. Working 8.00am - 4.00pm Monday to Friday. The working hours may change to suit the needs of the business.

The Facilities Concierge acts as the on-site ambassador for the FM contract, providing a visible, professional, and customer-focused presence within the corporate office. The role ensures workplace standards are upheld throughout the day, issues are identified and escalated promptly, and seamless coordination occurs between the in-house team and outsourced FM providers. This role supports safe, clean, and efficient operations while enhancing the overall experience for building users and visitors.

Making Possible

• Maintain a visible presence across the building, proactively monitoring workplace, cleaning, and presentation standards.
• Quality check cleaning delivery against contractual standards and report shortfalls through FM channels.
• Review the quality and workmanship of small works and tasks undertaken by contractors, escalating issues appropriately.
• Act as an on-site liaison between the outsourced FM contract team and the in-house office team, ensuring smooth communication and coordination.
• Identify building issues and log them through the correct FM systems, ensuring appropriate follow-up.
• Coordinate immediate workarounds to minimise operational disruption when issues arise.
• Provide concierge-style customer service, responding to queries and directing building users appropriately.
• Assist with visitor experience, including supporting reception and ensuring smooth guest arrival where required.
• Support occasional events, including room readiness checks, logistics, and coordination.
• Provide support to the in-house Office Manager and Coordinator when required, including cover for absence.
• Assist with deliveries, movement of items, and ad-hoc workplace support tasks.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties to support a safe, clean, and efficient building environment.
• Maintain awareness of workplace health & safety requirements, escalating risks appropriately without undertaking technical tasks.

• Strong customer service background from hospitality, front-of-house, facilities, or workplace experience roles.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proactive, observant, and able to anticipate issues before they escalate.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Professional and approachable manner with a focus on delivering high-quality service.
• Basic understanding of workplace health & safety and building etiquette (non-technical).
• Confidence in monitoring standards and reporting issues constructively.
• Ability to remain calm and adaptable within a dynamic environment.
• Comfortable acting as the 'eyes and ears' for the FM contract on site.
