About the role
We are recruiting a Senior Engineer to join our new civils project based in the West of Ireland.

Making Possible
- Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Ensure all setting-out works are completed accurately and in accordance with design requirements.
- Coordinate design information and resolve technical queries with consultants and designers.
- Monitor construction methodologies and propose improvements for efficiency and productivity.
- Coordinate subcontractors and site teams to achieve programme milestones.
- Monitor daily progress and productivity against project schedules.
- Identify and mitigate construction risks and technical challenges.
- Ensure materials and resources are available to maintain planned progress.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Assist in the preparation and review of Method Statements and Risk Assessments (RAMS).
- Ensure environmental controls and sustainability requirements are implemented.
- Investigate and report incidents, near misses, and non-conformances as required.
- Ensure inspection and test plans (ITPs) are followed.
- Monitor workmanship standards and rectify quality issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate site records, test results, and quality documentation.
- Support project handover and commissioning activities.
- Assist in the measurement and valuation of completed works.
- Provide technical input for variations and change management.
- Monitor resource utilisation and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Support commercial teams with progress reporting and claims preparation.
What do you bring to the role?
Essential
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5-8 years' experience in civil engineering or construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of Irish construction regulations and industry standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Total Stations, GPS surveying equipment, and Microsoft Office.
- Full driving licence.
Desirable
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards chartership with Engineers Ireland.
- Safe Pass.
- Manual Handling Certification.
- Temporary Works Coordinator training.
- First Aid certification.
