BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Bid Writer - Private Sector for our FM segment of the business. The position will involve a mixture of working from home and working out of any UK and Ireland office locations. BAM operates a flexible working policy. This role will be working 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday. 8.30am - 4.45pm.
The FM Bid Writer will be involved in working as part of the solutions team to draft high quality facilities management responses to tenders and developing Integrated FM service delivery models and case studies.
Making Possible
• Be responsible for the generation of high-quality written tender submissions for multiple soft, hard and integrated facilities management contracts across the private sector and wider multi-sector markets.
• Create, develop and maintain a library of bid submission material in line with best practice, ensuring a standardised format and continuously improving market perception of BAM FM services.
• Develop a full understanding of solution documentation to effectively communicate operational, commercial and service delivery requirements within submissions.
• Engage with operational, commercial and business development leads to finalise compelling solution content tailored to client requirements.
• Identify and utilise existing bid content and collateral to support proposal development.
• Develop, refine and rewrite content into a consistent, high-quality and compelling proposal style.
• Translate technical and operational information from subject matter experts into clear, persuasive and client-focused tender responses.
• Support submissions across a diverse range of sectors including corporate, commercial, retail, logistics, manufacturing, public-facing environments and integrated FM solutions.

What do you bring to the role?
• Demonstrable experience producing compelling bid writing material within the FM sector, with a strong focus on private sector opportunities.
• Strong knowledge of the FM market and the ability to produce high-quality written responses across multiple sectors.
• Proven ability to operate independently within a fast-paced FM environment, managing multiple submissions and deadlines with minimal supervision.
• A self-starter who can quickly integrate into the business, build relationships with key stakeholders and hit the ground running from day one.
• Experience coordinating bid submissions and managing multiple tender deadlines within a fast-paced corporate environment.
• Excellent commercial awareness coupled with a strategic and solutions-focused mindset.
• Competent knowledge of Microsoft Office and bid management systems.
• Excellent organisational, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to achieve set standards and operate against performance criteria and deadlines.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.
